Ali Mwatsau on Tuesday night survived an assassination attempt in Tudor, Kenya.
The Mombasa politician was returning home from the mosque around 10pm when the unknown gunmen hounded him, a police report disclosed.
The gunmen in two vehicles shot 22 times on the right side of his vehicle.
The politician that sustained serious injuries on his arms and legs was rushed to a Mombasa Hospital by a tuk-tuk (tricycle) rider and was immediately admitted.
A hunt for the attackers who fled immediately after the attack, has commenced.
