President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday morning observed Eid-el-Fitr Prayer at the State House, Abuja with his immediate family members, including the First Lady, Aisha Buhari and her daughters.
The celebration marks the end of the month-long Ramadan fast.
The prayers, which begun at 9:00am at the Four Court of the Presidential Villa, were observed under strict COVID-19 protocols as directed by the President.
Buhari joined in the prayers by Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, the National Security Adviser, retired Major General Babagana Monguno, as well as the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari. Others are his personal aides, top government officials and select dignitaries.
