South African company, MultiChoice has announced entries for the movie and TV training programme ahead of the kick-off for the 2022 session of the MultiChoice Talent Factory Academy.
According to Multichoice, it is open to all upcoming filmmakers who have a bit of industry experience or a post-school qualification in film.
The company also revealed that the application to enter the Talent Factory West Africa for Nigerians and Ghanaians start from the 1st of June to the 30th of June, 2021.
“The MTF Academy is our commitment to the future of our Industry and gives young Nigerians the chance to hone their television and film production skills through a world-class training programme. After two successful years, we are proud to announce a new call-to-entry and look forward to meeting the next generation of filmmakers,” says John Ugbe, CEO of MultiChoice Nigeria.
The MTF Academy which was established in May 2018 has so far availed 40 students the opportunity to increase their knowledge in the film and TV industry. The platform has also made them professionals in the movie industry.
MTF Class 2020 were the first set of students to be trained during a pandemic. This made the factory extend its programme for another months. The extension allowed the students graduate with two qualifications instead of one.
