
The Philadelphia 76ers completed a season-sweep of the Chicago Bulls Monday night at Wells Fargo Center as Joel Embiid recorded a 43-point double-double with 14 rebounds to secure the 121-106 victory.
The Bulls gave them a battle led by DeMar DeRozan, but Philadelphia eventually was able to hold off Chicago 121-106.
Both sides had five players in double-digit scoring, and at one point in the game, Bulls led by as many as six points. DeMar DeRozan was held to 6-of-17 shooting from the field for 23 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists.
James Harden, who was two assists away to a triple-double, added 16 points for Philly to go with eight rebounds and 14 assists, while Tyrese Maxey scored 17, Matisse Thybulle got 12 and Georges Niang put up 14 in 19 minutes off the bench.
For Chicago, Zach LaVine scored a team-high 24, Coby White put up 19 off the bench, Tristan Thompson added 13 and Ayo Dosunmu finished the night with 11 points.
Sixers led by five points after one quarter and went into the break up by six. They managed to control the entire second half to beat the Bulls for the fourth time this season, making it 11 straight wins over Chicago dating back to April 2019.
The 76ers are now preparing to host the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday, but Ben Simmons will reportedly not be available for the match. Bulls will look to snap its five-game skid on Wednesday when they visit the Detroit Pistons.
