LeBron James netted 30 points to lead the host Los Angeles Lakers to a 117-102 win over the rival Boston Celtics on Tuesday night.
The American professional basketball player was ably assisted by Russell Westbrook who contributed 24 points and 11 assists, Anthony Davis who totaled 17 points and 16 rebounds and Talen Horton-Tucker who added 12 points for the Lakers.
James, who turns 37 later this month, said: “We had a lot of good moments tonight; we want to continue to build off of them.
“Tonight was one of the best 48-minute games that we’ve had so far.”
Jayson Tatum scored a game-high 34 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Boston. Robert Williams III added 13 points and Josh Richardson chipped in 11 off the Celtics’ bench.
Dennis Schroder scored 10 on 1-of-6 shooting in his return to Los Angeles after leaving the Lakers in free agency last offseason.
The Celtics had won three of their last four games but have now dropped four of seven. Los Angeles won for the fifth time in eight games, coming off a 119-115 loss to the Clippers in its last game on Friday.
With this victory, the Lakers are back above .500 at 13-12 and are just a few games off the fourth-seeded Conference’s fourth seed.
