Idrisu Dauda, on Monday, assumed office as the new Commissioner of Police in Kogi State.
Dauda, in an address at the Command’s headquarter in Lokoja, pledged to build on the legacies of Ayuba Ede, the former Commissioner and his predecessor, who is now in charge of AIG zone eight.
The Commissioner urged all stakeholders to support the command in the fight against crimes and criminality in Kogi State.
When asked on the recent attack on some police officers around Kabba axis, Dauda said “we will continue to sensitise our men to be vigilant to avoid reoccurrence of this ugly incident.”
Prior to his new position, the CP was in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Kogi State command before he went for a professional course.
