Information reaching TOS says a member of the House of Representatives, Yuguda Hassan-Kila, representing Gwaram Federal Constituency of Jigawa State is dead.
He reportedly died on Thursday.
Media aide to Jigawa governor, Auwal Sankara, confirmed the death of the federal lawmaker to journalist. He said “he died at the National Hospital, Abuja, on Thursday.”
Meanwhile, Governor Muhammad Badaru has condoled with the family of the deceased, his constituents in Gwaram and the entire people of the state over the loss.
Mr Hassan-Kila became the second federal lawmaker from Jigawa State to die in the current National Assembly, following Muhammad Adamu Fagen-Gawo who died in December 2019.
He spent a large part of his career as a controller of customs with the Nigerian Customs Service,Abuja and later became an employee of Kano State.
In 2015, he was elected under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to represent Gwaram Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives. His legislative interests cut across customs, agriculture, transport, works and education.
