Nigerian multiple award-winning poet, Niyi Osundare, has been picked as cover poet and headliner on World Poetry, a magazine of the World Poetry Movement.
Osundare who is the first African to achieve the landmark, will have his poems published in the latest edition of the magazine.
This was made known in a mail Osundare received on 15 January, from Cao Shui, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of China’s Boao International Poetry Festival and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of World Poetry.
Niyi Osundare is a leading African poet, dramatist, linguist, and literary critic. He is a champion of free speech and his creative and critical writings are closely associated with political activism, decolonisation, black internationalism, and the environment.
