Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa has signed into law the anti-open grazing bill in Delta State which prohibits the possession of firearms, licensed or not, by residents in the state as it seeks to address arbitrary rearing and movements of livestock in the state.

This comes ten days after the bill scaled the third reading and was passed by the state House of Assembly during plenary presided over by the speaker, Rt. Hon. Sherriff Oborevwori on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
