Nigerian hip hop recording artist, Olamide has released his third music project, ‘UY Scuti’.
‘UY Scuti’, takes its name from the largest-known star in our universe.
On the album, Olamide expands his sound in new directions, sampling from Dancehall, Reggae, Amapiano and Alté.
The album features musicians like Jaywillz, Laddyoe, Fave and Phyno. The ten tracks were produced by Eskeez, with an assist from P-Priime on one of the tracks.
Speaking on the album, Olamide says ‘’I chose UY Scuti for the title because this project is bigger than anything I’ve ever done before. From the creativity, the amount of work that went into the project, the process, it’s just a new Olamide inside me.’’
The album is out on all music streaming platforms, via YBNL Nation/EMPIRE.
Olamide is an award-winning singer, songwriter and rapper who records both in Yoruba and English.
The YBNL Nation boss has grown to become one of Nigeria’s most influential and respected record labels since founding the imprint in 2012, launching the careers of artists such as Fireboy DML, Adekunle Gold and Lil Kesh.
