Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy of the APC in Osun State, Barrister Kunle Oyatomi has expressed that the All Progressive Congress, Osun State chapter is one and not in crisis.
Kunle Oyatomi in a telephone interview on Sunday said, “Osun APC is free of crisis.”
When asked of his position on the comment of former helmsman of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbsola, following the defection of Sen. Iyiola Omisore to the APC, Oyatomi maintained that, “when Aregbsola speaks, he speaks as a lover of democracy; this doesn’t mean he was referring to Omisore as the murderer of Bola Ige, because no court of law has acquited Sen. Omisore.”
Recall that the former helmsman of Osun, while revalidating his APC membership card had warned at his Ilofin ward, in Ilesha on February 19, following the defection of Omisore to the party that ” the party should be conscious of those who continue to dance on Ige’s grave and avoid anything that would dishonour the late statesman’s memory.”
The statement has since thrown dust in the arena of APC in Osun.
A former governorship aspirant of the APC in Osun during 2018 gubernatorial election from Osun West Senatorial District, Hon. Taiwo Babatunde Adedotun, however, said to be asked whether APC in Osun is in crisis or not is “rhetorical.”
Hon. Taiwo said the whole situation in APC is about “ingratitude and biting the finger that fed you.”
“Making the enemies of your benefactor your own friends is simply wickedness and a display of ingratitude,” he added.
