The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has appointed Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki as the Chairman of the party’s e-registration committee.
The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Kola Ologbondiyan, disclosed this during the party’s National Executive Council, NEC, emergency meeting held on Thursday at its national secretariat in Abuja.
Mr Ologbondiyan explained that the party’s NEC had received reports on the e-registration of members as its National Working Committee announced the membership of the committee, set up to conduct the exercise.
He added that while Obaseki serve as chairman if the committee, Adamawa State governor Ahmadu Fintiri, will serve as deputy chairman.
He stated that: “The statutory members of the committee are the national organizing secretary, national treasurer, national financial secretary, deputy national secretary and the national publicity secretary.
“Further nominations will be taken from the board of trustees, the national assembly, forum of state chairmen as well as the youth and women demography of our party.”
