PDP chooses new South-south national vice chairman

The PDP congress to choose a new leadership for the South-south zone had elected Dan Orbih on Tuesday as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) South-south national vice chairman.

Mr Orbih, who was returned unopposed at the party’s zonal congress held at the Obi Wali International Conference Centre, Port Harcourt, polled 960 votes out of the 964 votes cast.

Mr. Orbih, who gave his acceptance speech after the inauguration of the new leadership of the party in the zone vowed to reposition the party and make it stronger in 2023 also accused the federal government for neglecting the zone.
