Senator Walid Jibrin, the Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT), has hinted that the opposition party will elect a new national chairman in August.
He stated this while addressing newsmen on Wednesday in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja, at the end of the BoT meeting.
He said that Prince Uche Secondus, the acting National Chairman would act for three months period after which a new chairman would be elected.
It would be recalled that Secondus became acting national chairman of the party on May 20 after former chairman, Adamu Mu’azu resigned, citing health issues.
