Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday presented the 2022 ‘Budget of Consolidation’ totaling N1, 388,285,459,990 to the state’s House of Assembly.
The Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, who urged the governor to work on policies that will bring more dividends of democracy to the people, passed a vote of confidence on Sanwo-Olu and commended him for achievements his administration so far.
Obasa said the support the governor enjoys from the Assembly reflects in the successes of his administration.
He urged the federal government to “rejig the economy of Nigeria to reduce unemployment, insecurity and poverty”.
While speaking on the Panel of Inquiry on Police SARS brutality and other matters, Obasa advised Lagosians to “remain patient and not stoke controversies ahead of the White Paper submission.”
