No fewer than 61 Al-Shabaab militants and foreign nationals were reportedly killed in an explosion at a village in Southern Somalia.
The blast went off inside a house at Ala-Futow village, 285 kilometers from the capital Mogadishu.
It was gathered that the materials stored at the 11-room house exploded late Monday, killing 61 militants including six foreign nationals.
Al-Shabaab’s bomb experts was also killed in the blast.
The military later confirmed they conducted a swipe operation in the area destroying Al’Shabaab equipment.
