The Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi, Ajagungbade III, has joined his ancestors at age of 95, a reliable source has revealed on condition of anonymity to TOS NEWS.
According to the source, the tradition ruler died on Sunday after 45 years on throne.
“It is true that Baba has passed on. It happened this morning but it has not been announced officially.
“He lived a good life and left many good legacies. The palace will soon announce it,” the source said.
He was born on May 27, 1926, to the Gbagun ruling house of the royal family of Soun of Ogbomosoland. His father and grandfather, Oba Bello Oyewumi Ajagungbade II, reigned from 1916 to 1940 and Oba Gbagungboye Ajamasa Ajagungbade I, reigned from 1869 to 1871, respectively. His great grandfather, Oba Oluwusi Aremu, also reigned from 1826 to 1840.
