World football governing body FIFA has released the ranking table of April and the Super Eagles of Nigeria has moved up four steps higher, becoming the 32nd best football team in the world.
The 2013 African Cup of Nation champion moved four steps higher, living the likes of Morocco and Algeria behind them in the ranking table released in April by the Federation of International Football Association on Thursday.
Senegal came first in Africa and 22nd in the world while Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles are still 26th and also second in Africa and Nigeria 3rd.
The Super Eagles closed out AFCON qualifier with two wins, scoring four goals without conceding; the team won in their encounters with Benin Republic and Lesotho in the last qualifying matches for the rescheduled Africa Cup of Nations Cup scheduled for Cameroon in January 2022.
