
Terrorists attacked Ruwangodiya, Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State on Tuesday afternoon, killed six people and injured six others.
The incident was confirmed by the spokesman of the state Police Command, Gambo Isah.
He said, “It is true. The terrorists struck around 1.30 pm and killed six people while six people were injured. Those injured have been evacuated to hospitals for treatment. Our operatives are already on ground there.”
According to residents, the terrorists stormed the town around 1.30pm and started shooting sporadically. The bullets hit the victims and those that sustained injuries. The terrorists were also said to have rustled some domestic animals in the community.
The state Governor, Aminu Masari in an interview with BBC Hausa recently said government and security agencies have failed to secure Nigerians who rely on them for protection. He, however, said there has been improvement unlike before, but we haven’t reached where we want to and we are praying to God.
