The national leader of the All Progressives Congress and 2023 Presidential hopeful, Bola Tinubu, after a meeting on Monday with some governors of the party at the Kebbi State Governor’s Lodge, in Asokoro, Abuja has reacted to official declaration of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN.
When asked that his son has just declared, he said “I don’t have any son grown enough to declare.”
Prior to his reaction, Tinubu said “My mission here is to seek collaboration, support, and encouragement of my party, the APC, for my ambition to become the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a replacement for President Muhammadu Buhari after his tenure.”
The Kebbi State Governor and the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), Atiku Bagudu, also faulted the claims that Osinbajo’s declaration pits him with his political godson.
According to him, the development shows the quality of persons in the ruling APC.
“The fact that we have people in our party that have expressed their desire to lead the party into the highest office in electoral contest shows how much this our party has resonated with Nigerians and our party members,” the governor said.
Osinbajo’s declarion was a recorded video of about seven to 10 minutes which dominated the media on Monday was shared on all his social media handles.
According to a survey, Twitter response were 345,000 views, 27,000 likes,18,000 retweets and over 3 million impressions in less than 6 hours.
Also, over 150,000 views were recorded on Facebook and over 15,000 views on YouTube within six hours.
