The Kaduna State government has said troops killed three bandits and recovered weapons during a patrol along the Telele-Sabon Gida Road in Chikun Local Government area of the state.
This was revealed in a statement by the Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan.
The statement said, “The troops laid ambush at a suspected terrorist rallying point on the route. The outlaws approached the troops’ position and entered the killing range, after which they were vigorously engaged.
“The criminals returned fire but were overpowered by the troops after a brief firefight. Three terrorists were neutralised in the exchange.
“The troops recovered three AK47 rifles, three AK47 magazines, two motorcycles, and two mobile phones from the terrorists.”
