Barely a month after the demise of veteran actress, Rachael Oniga, Nollywood has lost another star, Victor Olaotan, otherwise known as Big Daddy.
This was disclosed to reporters on Friday by his wife, Julia Olaotan. According to her, he died late Thursday in Lagos.
He was aged 69.
The deceased’s wife who has sought help for his health challenge thanked those who donated during his critical moments when he was hospitalised in Turkey.
She expressed that, “Victor Olaotan has passed on; I don’t take the help rendered us for granted. Sadly, Olaotan had to come back to Nigeria because we could no more raise the money to continue treatment, so the hospital sent him back. I’m grateful for my husband’s life and I know all is well.
“Despite the challenges, God has been good to me and my family. He was there for five years.”
The former ‘Tinsel’ star had suffered from brain injury after a ghastly motor accident in 2016.
Some of his colleagues also had asked for support for his health, including business mogul, Femi Otedola who donated N30m in 2019.
