The Northern Senators Forum (NSF) in a communique issued yesterday and signed by its chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, and its Vice Chairman, Senator Joshua Lidani, passed a resolution to continue its complete support for President Muhammadu Buhari.
This they said has become necessary to enable the President bring about even development to all the sections of the country.
According to the communique, the northern senators also resolved to work assiduously to enact laws and amend existing ones when and where necessary in order to promote the interest of northern Nigeria in particular and Nigeria in general.
While reacting to the issue of clashes between Fulani herdsmen and farmers across the country, the northern senators appreciated and commended the steps that the federal government has taken so far to contain the problems.
They therefore cautioned community leaders to be careful when making statements on it, describing it as an ugly incidence, just as the chairman, pointed out that there are many non Fulani people who rear cattle, including Yorubas and Ibo tribes.
He lamented that there were calls already by some people in the east that Fulani people should vacate that part of the country, saying that if all the parts of the country should send each other packing from their areas, Nigeria will not exist.
