The World Health Organization has condemned Europe for its ‘unacceptably slow’ rollout of Covid-19 vaccines thereby leading to an extension of the pandemic.
This was disclosed in a statement on Thursday from WHO’s top leaders in Europe after reports had it that most countries have reported multiple increase in coronavirus cases and deaths over the past week.
Europe, which is the world’s second affected region with close to 1million deaths and 45 million infections since the pandemic began, recorded 1.6million new cases and nearly 24,000 deaths.
The WHO said fast rollout of the vaccine is very important as new cases keep increasing daily.
