The spokesperson for the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission Daniel Awurum on Sunday confirmed that Yewande Sadiku on Friday handed over her position as the Executive Secretary of the Commission to Emeka Offor after the expiration of five-year tenure.
Mr Emeka Offor will function in an Acting capacity.
Awurum said, “Yewande handed over on Friday to Emeka Offor at the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment. She completed her tenure on Friday and handed over peacefully.”
Offor started his career in the banking industry at the then Diamond Bank where he later became the head of treasury.
Before he joined NIPC, he was a Senior Management Executive at Zenith between 1999 and 2013.
Since he joined NIPC, he has headed six different departments at various periods.
He has been Director, Strategic Communications; Director, Investment Promotion; Director; Investment Facilitation and Incentives Administration; Director, National Competitiveness and Policy Advocacy; Director Human Resources Development and Director, Real Sector.
Offor, has an MSc in Corporate Governance from Leeds Beckett University, Leeds, United Kingdom, and an MBA from the University of Lagos amongst other qualifications and certifications.
